SPEC Magazine is an student-led arts, culture, lifestyle magazine at the University of Southern California. As its Editor-in-Chief, I help conceptualize, organize and provide creative guidance to the production process. As one of the only print publications on campus, we release one issue every semester - this is our most recent.
As part of my Cinematic Arts minor at USC, I took a documentary production class in the Spring of 2025. My partner and I sought to explore the piano scene in LA: Who is a part of it? What different styles are they playing and where? What are the different cultures which inform their playing and, ultimately, how their art is surviving in the city? Here is an excerpt.
We See What We Want To See is an issue by independent Singaporean magazine @yourlocalnewsstand featuring work exclusively by Asian photographers. As one of the 31 photographers, my photo was published at the Singapore Art Book Fair in April 2023.
